2018 Veterans Appreciation Day

The United States armed forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard, and Coast Guard) provide protection from all threats to our national security. These men and women make personal sacrifices every day to ensure our freedom in America. We are indebted to these heroes and are proud to be able to give back to those who have served, and continue active duty for their country.

For the past 13 years, the TWBWF has hosted events in Halifax County, Virginia on the property known as The Cove. The Cove’s natural habitat diversity is a perfect setting for outdoor activities such as shooting, fishing, and archery. These events are a way to show appreciation and recognize the sacrifice of these men and women.

The above slideshow has photos taken during the 2018 Veterans Appreciation Day. It was held on June 2, 2018, at The Cove in Clover, VA. There were over 70 veterans attending and participating in the sporting competitions. We had many active members of the Army National Guard helping as volunteers. The Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation is so grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a memorable one. We thank our sponsors, donors, volunteers and all who helped us have this day to honor veterans. But most of all we thank veterans for their service to America.

The American Heroes events depend on the tax-deductible donations and the financial support of corporate America, foundations, and the many individual donors to lend financial support to our heroes and their families.
